The Great Commission
As believer's we know we are called to share the gospel.
"And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:14-15
Then why is it that so few actually go out and proclaim the "good news" as did the Apostles and also the early church.
"Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word." Acts 8:4-5
Could it be because of fear that keeps us sharing with others? "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it."
"Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24
Maybe Christians do not share because of not knowing how to approach others with the gospel. As believer's we are to encourage, strengthen, and equip one another for the work of the ministry.
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;..." Eph 4:11-13
We invite you to come and learn how to share your faith more effectively. Also join us as we go out after the class to proclaim the gospel to this lost and dying world. If you would like to go out and only observe while others share, then we encourage you to join us.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed." 1 Peter 3:15-16
